// Principal Dentist
Dr Manish Bhutada
Dr Manish Bhutada is the founder and principal dentist of Oral Health Sydney — a practice built on the belief that every patient deserves world-class dental care in an environment that feels truly exceptional.
Graduating with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Dr Bhutada went on to become one of the youngest dentists worldwide to complete a PhD in Dental Neuroscience. His pioneering research focused on jaw muscle pain, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ), and the neural pathways involved in orofacial pain — research that continues to influence clinical practice internationally.
Dr Bhutada’s academic contribution extends to his role as Sub-Dean at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Sydney — one of the most prestigious dental schools in the Asia-Pacific region. In this leadership role, he shaped curriculum and mentored the next generation of Australian dentists.
Today, he balances his clinical practice across both Wolli Creek and Lugarno with ongoing teaching commitments at the University of Sydney and active involvement in international dental research. His patients benefit directly from his cutting-edge knowledge of the latest techniques and materials.
Outside dentistry, Dr Bhutada is a dedicated practitioner of yoga — a discipline that informs his holistic approach to patient wellbeing. He believes that true oral health is part of overall health, and that treating patients with empathy and calm is as important as clinical excellence.

// Holistic Wellbeing
Mind & Body Meets Health
Dr Bhutada’s practice of yoga deeply informs his approach to dentistry. He understands that dental anxiety is real and that nervous systems, posture, and overall wellbeing directly affect oral health outcomes.
Our clinics are designed as sanctuaries — calm, unhurried spaces where you feel genuinely comfortable. We take extra care with anxious patients, offering a patient-centred experience that is as therapeutic as it is clinical.
This holistic perspective — understanding the patient as a whole person — is what truly sets Oral Health Sydney apart from any conventional dental practice.
" True dental excellence comes from treating the whole person — not just their teeth. "
